Therapy for Parenting

It’s the hardest job you will ever have. Why not get some support?

Why is it so hard to ask for help as a parent?

This is likely because parents are usually blamed for everything that goes wrong with children and in the home. Parents are judged for making mistakes, for trying and failing. When parents are struggling with parenting their child, they can be filled with shame, and sadness, and this knocks down their confidence in their parental decision making.

Parenting your child is going to be the hardest job you will ever have. It will also be the most rewarding. Parents deserve so much support and empathy for this difficult job, and this can be hard to find from family, friends and society.

We offer therapy that is focused on emotional support for parents. This can include education, developmental information, processing the concerns about your child, and your relationship with your child.  Therapy that focuses on your emotional life as a parent, can provide a space to share your deepest fears and worries about your parenting. When you have a safe space as a parent, you will no longer feel isolated and alone in your challenges. In addition, being able to open up about your vulnerabilities as a parent can begin a journey of a healthier legacy of parent child relationships in your family.

Are you ready to feel less alone as a parent?
