Pregnancy is a tumultuous, joyous, and confusing experience. Everyone asks how you are but you’re not sure what to say sometimes. Do they want the honest answer? Your ankles disappeared, and you can’t stop hating garlic. Some days you’re happy, but mostly you’re unsure if you’re ready.

Now your baby is here and you haven’t stopped feeling tired. Tired of your thoughts, tired of your moods, tired even of your baby. None of your friends that have been pregnant or had babies ever talked about the sadness, the worry, the guilt that you live with everyday. They never mentioned how draining it can be to have a little being dependent on you all the time. You’re trying your best to be a good mom, but you sometimes have this fantasy of running away or disappearing. You’ve been able to do what you have to (like work, cook, clean) but you’re running on fumes. It’s scary to think about speaking up because you don’t want to look weak, or make a big deal out of nothing. And yet, you can’t imagine how you’ll keep going if you don’t get a life boat to pull you out.

We support moms in creating a more balanced life that allows them to feel their feelings without sinking them. Being strong doesn’t mean having to pretend everything is fine even when you feel like you’re drowning. We help you feel connected to your baby, one step at a time, while also connecting with that part of yourself that allows you to live fully without constant guilt or second guessing. You deserve to understand where your shame was born, and how to move through it so that you can heal from past wounds that you wish you could bury and forget. You matter, even when you don’t feel you deserve it.

Together we can identify, make sense of, and heal from past wounds that are stopping you from feeling whole. You’re already a wonderful mom. We can help you to know it.
